The complete 3rd Grade Reading Vocabulary List
is now available for PC compatible and Macintosh computers
 

This list contains the 800+ "new" Grade 3 Vocabulary words - which are the approximate last 800 words of the "2000 Most Common Reading Words in the English language".  The most common 1200 words in the English language comprise our Grade 1 and 2 lists.   Students who have mastered this 3rd Grade list (along with our Grade 1 and 2 lists) will have mastered 90% of  words used in average reading and writing material and will typically score in the top 25% on national 3rd Grade Reading Tests such as the S.A.T., CTB-Terinova and FCAT. 

Words have been arranged in this list from the "most-common" at the beginning to the "lesser-common" toward the end, thereby providing you the most effective order for instruction throughout the year.  To further accelerate the speed at which students master the words, all weekly Lessons have been divided into similar vowel sound categories.

Words have been written using a slightly larger font size and wider letter spacing which makes it an excellent tool for student testing and presentation at professional teacher meetings.
